When I photograph, I am usually walking. What does walking do? The blood flows to my legs and out of my head, so to speak. This is a helpful distraction.
Perhaps, I only animate the truth, and only one part of it. The truth is wayward, like a thrush's song. Or it is like a photograph, apprehended by what is seen, but, mostly, inferred.
I guess it is this, this shyness–not wishing to assert what the world is–that I see in my pictures. Come in.
